Lions find soggy win...
The offense found themselves stuck in the mud at Springfield. Mike O'Donnell's acrobatic reception put the Lion's on top 7-0. Dan Desiderio extended the Lions lead to 10 after hitting a 26 yard field goal.
The second quarter was slowed by several rain showers, and both teams trading turnovers. Our offensive line (Mike Chambers, Ed Kinsler, Joe Remy, Shawn Brown and Brandt Waples) controlled the line of scrimmage enabling Terrence Jackson and Andy Spahr to find the end zone on runs of 7 and 9 yards. Spahr (31 yards) and Elliot Nicholas (20 yards) gave the Lions a 37 point advantage to end the third quarter.
Defensively the Lions played an excellent game. Alex Demirjian came away with his second interception of the season. Mike Chambers, Shawn Brown and Mike McFadden lead the defensive charge that allowed one first down before half time.
