Lions fall in overtime...

Penncrest and Conestoga once again treated us to a final second gut wrencher.

The first half was non-stop offense from both teams. Our Lions took the openning drive 80 yards, capped off by Mike McFadden's 3 yard plunge into the end zone. Conestoga responded on their next drive. The second quarter saw a 34 yard field goal from Dan Desiderio and a 27 yard touchdown from Spahr. Unfortunately, Conestoga added a score in between ours scores, and a touchdown on the last play of the half.

The second half was all defense. Jackson, McFadden and the defensive line took over. Mike O'Donnell's hit in the fourth quarter not only prevented a first down, but separated a player from this helmet. Terrence Jackson put the Lions back on top with a 3 run in the third quarter. Conestoga tied the game with a 39 yard field goal late in the fourth quarter. The game was sealed in OT as Conestoga scored, and held the Lions on their possession.
