Heart breaker...
While the Lions offense was unable to get Dan Hosier the ball he made every play count. Dan made several huge blocks for Spahr and Ferrainola. Hosier's timing was perfect as he separated an Abington receiver from the ball late in the second quarter with a monster hit.
Wynton Shelton finished his Penncrest career with another outstanding performance, anchoring our line from both sides of the ball. This Lions' football career has many games yet to be played.
Chuck Rowland dominated the defensive line during the first half including several tackles in Abington's backfield.
Brad Carmicheal opened holes all afternoon despite being double teamed on several occasions. Brad made several key blocks downfield allowing the Lions to gain first downs.
Evan Dick. Is there a greater example of desire on any football team in Delaware County? Evan's yeoman effort along the offensive line was once again nothing short of amazing.
Michael "the Doc" Dougherty was a big reason the Lion's kept Abington off the score board for three quarters. "Doc" knifed through the Abington line to make several big hits on the Abington quarterback.
Damian Ferrainola gave everything he had and more in his final game as a Penncrest Lion. Damian rushed for 110 yards, caught a touchdown pass, and threw his second touchdown pass of the season.
