Penncrest vs Strath Haven

The Penncrest freshmen played an excellent game against the Strath Haven freshmen team. The final score was 16-6 in favor of Penncrest. The first play of the game saw running back Rashad Johnson run 50 yard to the 8 yard line of Strath Haven. . From there halfback Diego Zubieta ran the ball in for a touchdown and Quarterback Dan Fisher threw a pass to Zubieta for the two point conversion.
The team is really coming together as the defense is beginning to play like a unit, led by Zubieta, Nick Newman and Bobby McCafferty. They gave up only 6 points, held for the extra point conversion after the touchdown and blocked a field goal attempt in the third quarter.
Fisher drove the team 80 yards for a score with Johnson doing most of the running and the final 20 yards on an off tackle play. Fisher rolled right for the conversion of the extra point but since all were covered ran it in on his own for the two points.
The team rushed for over 250 yard led by Rashad Johnson who ran for 159 yards.
